If you’re wondering about today’s technologies and how they might be applied to your business, you’re not alone!
Below are some of the most common questions we’re asked…but keep in mind that the most accurate and specific answers are possible only after we’ve learned more about your business and its needs. We love talking about this stuff, so don’t hesitate to reach out so we can have a conversation!
The answer is “probably,” but of course we’d want to know more about your business and situation before giving you a definitive answer. You can read about the reasons many organizations are moving to Android here.
This is a complex question. It depends on the scope of the project, the age of your existing equipment and apps, which OS you’re running, what your future needs are, and how your finance team would like to handle the cost. Our goal is to recommend technology that will deliver an ROI: reducing overall costs by boosting productivity, ensuring accuracy, and reducing waste. There are new financing structures that are also possible to change the cost structure to be more sustainable over the long run.
While we don’t prognosticate often, we do believe that all future technologies and innovations will rely on accurate and connected data. Our field of expertise—data capture and mobility—will be the foundation you need to take advantage of things like edge computing, IoT, autonomous vehicles, drones, robots, wearables, etc. Our customers can rely on us to recommend the best new innovations we see in our partner community. Check out our Resource page for a wealth of articles highlighting some of the most practical applications for today’s – and tomorrow’s – technology.
We’re glad you asked! We believe in building partnerships with our customers. This means that the customer is an active participant, bringing knowledge and ideas to the table.
In addition to our collaboration, learning how you work through direct observation (if possible) and formulating intelligent insights based on our experience and your goals are two things we do better than anyone. Read more about our People, Process, Technology philosophy here.
We would need to discuss, but in our experience, we’ve found that there are considerable “opportunity costs” when customers keep mobile device lifecycle management in-house. By forming a partnership with Barcoding, your team can stay focused on high-value initiatives, and our team, working as an extension of yours, can use our experience to make mobile lifecycle management as efficient and effective as possible.
Sorry, but we firmly believe you will not save money and on top of it, you will put your organization at risk for security breaches.
Consider the cost to your organization if you were to get hacked (a real possibility with any old technology): the downtime you’d experience (and potential loss of business) could be catastrophic to your reputation and bottom line. And, organizations that try to keep old technology on board eventually have to fund a much larger, more complex move to new technology.
We won’t just hand over devices and cross our fingers. Our process starts with setting expectations and setting change management plan. We offer our clients plenty of training options to help, but the real key to user adoption is to involve end users early in the process. The more you build champions along the way, the more likely you’ll have success. While people often fear the change, once they understand the new technology, they love it.
