Welcome back to another installment of Geek Tank Tuesdays! We’ve been looking back at our Android in the Enterprise workshop series and sharing interviews between our #SupplyChainGeeks. If you missed last week’s post, you can check it out here. Keep reading for more and stay tuned for next week’s post about deployment best practices and fiscal considerations!
This Week’s Speakers
This interview is called “Benefits of Mobile Device Management.” Our featured speakers are Barcoding, Inc. team members Greg Henry, Vice-President of Client Solutions and Brian Harvey, Senior Systems Engineer.
The Value of MDM
So, why is Mobile Device Management (MDM) important? Of course, it helps keep mobile devices up-to-date by updating OS, security and application patches, but it can do much more to keep your devices running smoothly behind the scenes.
From enforcing policies and encrypting data, to device remote control and device wipes, MDM is an essential tool, especially as we begin to migrate over to Android. As Brian wisely put it, “Just be prepared for changes. Everything changes almost daily, it seems, so there’s always something new around the corner and we need to be prepared for it.”
Still Curious?
At Barcoding, Inc., we can provide support that keeps your MDM operating, and facilitate training and support. You can contact us for all of your mobile computing needs. To gain more insight about the power of MDM, read the full transcript from this interview and the rest of the series here.
