Another Chapter in the Book Drive

Barcoding is committed to helping our community in impactful ways. From supporting local organizations and events to sponsoring well-deserved charitable efforts, we aim to give back meaningfully.

Spearheaded by the passionate #SupplyChainGeeks from our team, we partnered with Reading Partners of Baltimore to inspire young minds to indulge in adventures, learning, and whimsy through the magic of stories. Reading Partners is a national non-profit that mobilizes communities to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade.

Throughout the summer of 2024, our community has been hard at work collecting as many books as possible to attempt to break YET another record. It’s for the kids, but we can’t help a healthy dose of competition!

Throughout our book drive, we've Collected:

2,000+ books (500 donated by Penguin Random House)
$3,672 in necessary supplies from their wishlist (binders, mini first aid kits, wipes, tissues, supply carts, and more!)

Last year, employees and partners collected over 1,400 new and gently used books to help inspire K–4th graders to achieve their reading capabilities and fill their classrooms, homes, and imaginations.

We're proud to announce we beat that record with over 2,000+ books while also collecting $3,672 of necessary supplies for kids entering the new school year. While a good number for this year, this just gets us fueled up for next year. We also want to thank the generosity of Penguin House House for donating 500 books to our numbers this year.

This is our third year partnering with the Reading Partners of Baltimore. The support from the employees at Barcoding was just amazing.
