Barcoding’s IntelliTrack® asset tracking platform just keeps getting better—seriously! When you consider that our updates and improvements are driven by customer and user feedback, it makes perfect sense. Our Process, People, Technology philosophy puts the challenge and the user ahead of everything else, and our experts thrive on finding ways to make our customers more efficient, accurate, and connected with the right technology.
Recently, Barcoding’s Marketing VP, Jody Costa connected virtually with Principal Software Engineer, Jack Nosek to get the latest details on the asset tracking software updates. Together, they took a closer look at Q2’s new and improved IntelliTrack capabilities and how they simplify, streamline, and advance real-time, item-level tracking and management of assets and inventory all in one place.
New features for the July 2022 release give Barcoding’s services customers radical transparency with new fulfillment tracking functionality, add speed and security to mobile device check-in/check-out, and simplify the user login experience. But maybe the most exciting update is IntelliTrack’s new reach into the healthcare field!
What’s new in Q2? Let’s get right to it.
This pivotal feature allows enterprise users to keep their existing enterprise credentials in use across multiple enterprise platforms and locations. The Q2 integration with Azure Active Directory works with both the IntelliTrack website and the mobile app. Users can simply use their Azure AD enterprise identity service credentials to login, saving time while optimizing enterprise security.
Barcoding GoLive Services and StayLive Services customers now benefit from single-dashboard visibility and instant-read transparency into their device and hardware order statuses. In one place, Barcoding customers can see all previous and current orders, and where they are in the fulfillment workflow process. Plus, instant notifications keep customers updated when an order status changes.
Barcoding’s experience in mobility management really shines in this update for device chain-of-custody tracking for Barcoding customers. Where devices previously needed to be assigned by a trusted user, the Q2 IntelliTrack VeriMy app automatically checks out a device upon user sign-in. No more slow hand-offs at shift change! And it actually prevents the use of apps on the device unless and until the user’s sign-on credentials are verified.
But that’s not all: The update records users and login/logout information, as well as with other important data such as device battery health and drop events. Maybe best of all, it’s now easier than ever to locate misplaced assets—even in massive DC spaces—by simply pinging the missing device. Whether or not they’ve been checked out, devices can be pinged to make an audible sound, making them much easier to find.
Many healthcare environments present a uniquely challenging item-tracking workflow: tracking patient belongings. IntelliTrack Patient Belongings Tracking bundle includes a dashboard that definitively shows the items that have been collected and to which patients they belong. The asset tracking solution records items by patient identification number, helping protect patient privacy while creating a clear record of items in the custody of the healthcare provider.
A custom mobile client is the bundle’s other major feature. The application allows healthcare staff to quickly and easily check patient belongings in and out using a mobile device, creating an immediate, accurate, and connected record of custody throughout a patient’s healthcare facility stay.
