Securely Log-in with QR Codes

There’s so many different websites that require logins, each with their own password specification, that it can be hard to keep track of everything. Between your e-mail, online banking and social media sites, who can remember all of their different logins and passwords?

UK company Ensygnia was recently granted a patent for providing a secure log-in and check-out service using QR codes. Its solution, OneScan, uses encrypted QR codes to allow consumers to register, log-in and check-out securely, all with a scan of a QR code.

For online purchases, OneScan would be particularly handy, as users only need to register once with Ensygnia and never have to type in credit card and other personal information again. While OneScan is still in Beta, interested parties can get more information here.
