QR Codes on Receipts

Mobile payments seem to be developing in all sorts of different styles, but now, Bank of America is on board and testing a new method of mobile payment with QR codes.

The latest form of mobile payment would allow consumers to pay at a store by scanning a QR code. For example, imagine going to a restaurant, finishing your meal and getting a receipt with a QR code on it. That way, you wouldn’t have to wait for the server to return to take your card—you could pay at your leisure, or, if you’re in a rush, pay right away and leave tip all from your smartphone.

These secure QR code mobile payments would also reduce the amount of credit card skimming.

While the QR code mobile payment from Bank of America is still in testing, having such a service would definitely appeal to those in the restaurant/bar industries.
