QR Code Stickers Save Lives

In the event of an emergency, could a QR code save your life?

When a medical emergency happens, it’s imperative to know someone’s medical background—but that information is seldom readily available. Now, Code d’Urgence, a French company, offers a solution to this using QR codes.

The company allows users to register for their service by filling out a medical questionnaire that is validated by a doctor. Their information is stored on a secure server and users receive 10 QR code stickers to place on their everyday belongings, such as cell phones.

Then, in an even of a medical emergency, medical professionals can easily access a patients medical history, ensuring better care. However, medical professionals would need the app installed on their phone to read the QR code since keeping the medical data secure is of the utmost importance.
