QR Code Exhibit

Could you imagine a building covered entirely in QR codes? That’s exactly what the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale is.

The interior of the building is covered from floor to ceiling in QR codes which visitors can scan using their mobile devices and tablet computers. The QR codes serve as exploration and idea generation for a new Russian city that would be dedicated to science.

Visitors will also be able to see a glimpse of the new city of science, to include a university, homes and 500 science and technology firms. The desire for this city of science stems from the days of the Cold War, in which more than 60 secret towns existed throughout the country. The new city is not a secret, but will be a vehicle for transforming post-cold war science.
