Finger Barcode Scanner Could Speed Up Check Out

If you’ve ever gone grocery shopping and been slightly annoyed at how long it takes the cashier to scan each item, then you’re not alone. Designer Seokmin Kang sought out to solve this problem and recently unveiled the concept finger barcode scanner.

The idea behind the finger barcode scanner is that the cashier won’t have to turn or rotate a product as much—the finger barcode scanner can just be dragged across the barcode and quickly scan the item.

While the finger barcode scanner is still in its conceptual phase, many are hoping that it is an idea that is soon realized.
